Manitoba Funeral Director Recognized By Local Legion - 11/28/2017

At the recent Annual General Meeting of the Manitoba's Portage la Prairie Royal Canadian Legion, funeral director Jeff Dubois, owner of McKenzie's Funeral Chapel, was recognized with the Legion Friendship Award.

The award acknowledges a local business or individual for their contributions to the Legion.  This year the board of executives at the Legion's Branch #65 nominated Dubois for the award, recognizing his volunteer work with both the Legion and the No Stone Left Alone Foundation.

Dubois, who has been a Legion member for more than 20 years, was surprised by the recognition.  He says he believes in community service and enjoys being able to assist where needed.

Prominent Manitoba Funeral Director Passes Away - 01/25/2017

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle and great uncle Perry Alexander Bulbuck at his winter home in Phoenix, AZ returning to his heavenly home on January 18, 2017 at the age of 57 years

Perry is predeceased by his mother, Ida. Left to mourn is his loving father, Alec; sisters; Gia Davidson, Cindy St. Hilaire, Beverly Bulbuck, Glenda (Murray) Zimmer; brother Troy Bulbuck, nieces, nephews, Tara (Dwayne) Emily, Jessica Sydor;  Travis (Kerri) Davidson;  Amanda, Dominyck, Micheal, Sami St. Hilaire; Jamie, Vander, Brooklyn St. Hilaire;  Brianne, Katarina Zimmer; Brandon, Kyla and Jayden Bulbuck.
