THE EMPLOYMENT & INCOME ASSISTANCE ACT
The Employment and Income Assistance Act provides that 
Manitoba may take measures to provide to residents of 
Manitoba a funeral upon death. 

Basic Funeral Services may be provided subject to prior 
authorization from the Director of the Employment and Income 
Assistance District Office of the Department of Family Services 
and Housing prior to the funeral services being held. 

Your funeral home will be able to provide further information
on an income assisted funeral.
